The pain continues...

So, after taking a short writing break to focus on homework, I'm back! I know, I know... you're all so upset I was gone.
After my last little splurge on Draft day, I figured Monday morning I'd up my cardio a bit by trading my "normal" walk/jog intervals for the Couch-to-5k. Tuesday morning I could barely walk. Tuesday afternoon, I found out that I had a mild sprain in both hips. Bloody lovely! So... no unnecessary walking for the rest of the week, and I can go back to walking the next week ONLY if there's no pain and no running for at least 2 weeks. Well... shoot.
In the interim, I decided to change up my upper body weight routine and discovered a new definition to pain. I'm enjoying the changes that are happening. Slowly, but they are there. Pictures are coming, I promise (keep that paper ready!).
The hard part of an injury when trying to lose weigh is that tends to slow that process down. At my weigh-in (WI) yesterday, I had only lost 1.1 lbs. I almost cried. I was hoping for much bigger number, but I figure... a loss is a loss, and I'll take it.
Thankfully, this week, I'm back to my walking, and had a darn good workout yesterday. I'm going to try and squeeze in some more walking today, to make up for the inability to run for the time being.

Off we go...!
